I took those photographs yesterday afternoon, of the area below where my house is. My area of Connecticut got about 2.5" to 3" of rain, and the roaring water confirmed the volume.
If only I could pick the winning powerball numbers, the way I can predict what people will do. The government (local, state, federal) protects the government, and we have Taxation Without Representation at every level. Everything about this country (United States) is a lie.
And if anyone wants to leave a nasty comment, like Tom the intolerant hateful bully, or wants to tell me to have gratitude, you have NO IDEA what happened to me, so STFU!
I took those photographs at Aspetuck Park in Easton, CT this past week. Parts of the park were flooded due to the 1.5"+ of rain that fell in this area. Normally, the base of the wood platform (third photo) is visible, as can be seen here. Although it's hard to tell in the second photo, the water was level with, and went around, that side of the bridge. The leaf debris on the bridge shows the water had been higher than that, at the height of the storm.
I took those photographs at the Audubon Larsen Wildlife Sanctuary in Fairfield, CT this past week. The second photo is the view from that bench.
For those who remember Teddy, his "Halloween" Cousin came for a visit ahead of the upcoming holiday. We still need to make an outing to the Hound of the Baskerville Woods, as Teddy calls it. Teddy assured his cousin the ghost hound is real and prowling around in there. I also have a feeling his cousin will be staying permanently. ;-)
