"Nursery Rhymes Unicorn" - Postcard

This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Nursery Rhymes."

I used a Mother Goose rhyme for this. A long time ago, I read something where some historians speculated that the word unicorn actually described a rhinoceros that people had seen, but as it got communicated along the way to others, sort of like in the game "telephone," it got misinterpreted to be a horse with a horn.

I'm still struggling with artist's block. I redid the background for this several times, and finally had to enforce my "paint brush down!" time limit rule and stop working on this. I like it, but...

I created this using GIMP 2.10.8.
