Blair Witch Pagan Ritual Stacked Stones (Cairn) - Picture

© All Rights Reserved
This is 1 of 4 posts of pictures I took at Spruce Brook Falls in Beacon Falls, CT on June 24, 2012. These were stacked rocks (Cairn) that had been assembled like the ones in the movie The Blair Witch Project, for some sinister pagan ritual no doubt. ;-)

This is 2 of 4 posts of pictures I took at Spruce Brook Falls in Beacon Falls, CT on June 24, 2012. I actually climbed up part of the waterfall, to get these inner pictures of it. The water was reflecting on the left side wall. You can't see it, but there is a third tier waterfall on the right hand side. I still haven't figured out how to access this waterfall from above, but I know it can be done because I saw people up there the last time I was here.

This is 1 of 5 posts of pictures I took at Spruce Brook Falls in Beacon Falls, CT on June 17, 2012. I love the way the water looks with the light and shadow created by the sun. I've been trying to go hiking every weekend, because it's very peaceful and relaxing for me.

I entered the Naugatuck State Forest from Cold Springs Road. The roads shown within the forest are closed to vehicle traffic. The trail map is here. Two other useful links are CT waterfalls and Natural Wonders.

Bathing Pool - Pictures

This is 5 of 5 posts of pictures I took at Spruce Brook Falls in Beacon Falls, CT on June 17, 2012. This was an inviting looking water bathing pool at the intermediate base of this waterfall. The waterfall picture itself didn't come out too good. I think this was near where the brook crosses on the gravel road trail that is below Black Forest Road (Spruce Brook Road). I plan to return here to take more pictures.
