I took these photographs at Meigs Point in Hammonasset State Park in Madison, CT this past week.

Both of these were long distance shots that came out blurry. I don't normally post blurry photographs, but I think this is as good as I am going to get of this pair of nesting Ospreys. Their nesting box is too far away for me to get a clean shot unless I use a tripod.

I'm not sure what kind of bird this is. I also saw several nests, probably left over from last year, while I walked here.

Updated May 11, 2014: I think this is a Northern Mockingbird. (Thanks Marianne!)
