I took those photographs in my yard this past week. I think that bird is a Crow. Several of them flew into the trees in my yard, and seemed to be keeping a vigil. They remained silent and still. I noticed a raptor (Hawk?) flying overhead, but I didn't think Crows were afraid of raptors, so I don't know why they seemed like they were on alert. When I see a group of these birds, I think of them as a harbinger of death.

Pentacle Raven Heart - Wood Box

I recently decoupaged another wood box. This is a hybrid mystical occult theme crossed with a romantic theme. I combined two of my previous wood box designs to create this one.

I had conducted an experiment on this box awhile ago, but I didn't like how it came out, so I put it aside. I revisited it recently, but without going into detail, the original decoupage method I used on it failed when I tried to clear coat it.

I was able to remove the layer that was on this, and applied a completely new design to the box, which is shown in the photograph. I applied two coats of clear coat. The ink faded a little, but I wanted a vintage, rustic look, so that worked well with my desired result.

This is a Ouija Board design that I'm thinking of having printed as a poster, to decoupage onto a 16" wide x 12" high wood board or hardboard (panel).

I'm posting this to establish my copyright prior to submitting my design to an online poster printing company.


I will use one of the following for the board:
