"Magic Keys Book" - Postcard

This week's Sunday Postcard Art theme was "Keys".

I went to the beat of my own drummer on this. One thing led to another, and I used two keys as metal hardware hinges for a book. A third key is the "magic key" on the cover. The background had a honeycomb pattern, so I added a few bees to complete this piece.

I think the one word that makes everything bearable is Acceptance. That word is also the final stage in the grieving process, when a loved one dies. But it can be applied to everything in life.

Throwing out garbage accumulated during one's life is liberating. When one's perspective changes, one realizes that some things that one thought were important aren't.

And when one accepts that the dreams and ambitions one had for one’s life will never happen, it’s easy to toss it all into the garbage, and never look back.

This week's Take  a Word challenge theme was "Bees." Sadly, it is also their last challenge. Understandably, they are saying Goodbye, but they are still continuing with their other two sites. Over the years, I have had less time to be able to participate in all of the great challenge sites that are out there. And I still tear up over Marie's passing. She gave me guidance and assistance when I first started creating artwork on my blog.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.24.
