This week's Our Midweek Muse theme was "Red and Turquoise".

Sometimes one's inner muse leads one, when one least expects it. I didn't know what to create for this color challenge theme. And my initial idea, by accident, morphed in another direction.

Note: I've been getting errors trying to leave comments on blogs, but I don't know why. Deann left me a comment, saying I'm being marked as spam.

This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Turquoise and Lime."

I started this by "stamping" two different ephemera backgrounds on a white postcard. Next, I blotted on turquoise and lime green splotches of color. I "stamped" a fish ornament at the top. Then I placed part of a poem about mermaids on this. I used the golden mermaid for a focal point, and included turquoise colored dolphin/sea monsters.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.22.
