Witch Riding A Broomstick Weathervane - Photograph

This past week, I took these photographs of a witch riding a broomstick weathervane that is on top of the building at 31-39 Wall Street in Norwalk, CT.

This weathervane witch is flying west, so does that make her the Wicked Witch of the West?

Seaside Sanatorium Ship Weathervane - Photograph

This is 1 of 3 posts of photographs that I took at Seaside Sanatorium in Waterford, CT this past week.

The area is now a Connecticut State Park, but the buildings themselves are surrounded by chain link fence to prevent trespassing. Unfortunately in the past, vandals broke windows and sprayed graffiti on the inside and outside.

Birds were perched on the ship weathervane, as well as the gables of the side building. The site is beautiful, with scenic views of Long Island Sound.

Seaside Sanatorium was "originally built as a facility to treat children with tuberculosis," and "has had a long history serving as a medical facility."
