"How a Hellfire Gets Shipped to Cuba" - Postcard

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Comedy/Humor."

I struggled to come up with something for this theme. In the end, I used a true event as the basis for my piece. This past week, a news article revealed that in 2014, the United States mistakenly shipped a Dummy Hellfire Missile to Cuba.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.16.

To the best of my knowledge, it was permissible to use the comic strip panels that I altered for this postcard.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

The font is Engcomica.

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Men in Hats."

This is 1 of 2 different themed postcards that I created for this. This piece is the third postcard that I made using a Comic Strip for the background. (That style was inspired by this artwork on Anjas Artefaktotum. She creates a lot of great artwork and usually includes the steps involved.)
