Translucent Egret - Photograph

This is a photograph I took recently at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT.

I didn't realize it until I loaded this photograph to my computer, but the lighting was such that this Little Egret looked almost translucent. I was stunned by the beauty of this shot.

This photograph is my entry for the following:

Water World Wednesday
Weekend Reflections
Weekly Top Shot
Camera Critters
I'd Rather Be Birding
Saturday's Critters

  4. Isn't it wonderful when these white birds get under a bright sun! Translucent is a great, descriptive word - they turn almost blue!
