This is another song lyrics illustration piece.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.14.

When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide

Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide

This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Wish."

I went to the beat of my own drummer with this. There is a "tip of the hat" to a song and a movie in this.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.14.

Waxing Crescent Moon 19.7% Lit Before The Storm - Photograph

I took this photograph of the waxing crescent moon during the end of Civil Twilight this evening. The moon was 19.7% lit before the storm that's arriving here tomorrow. I have the snow shovels, etc. ready, and my car is now parked in the "snowfall position" at the top of the driveway. Where I live in Fairfield County Connecticut, the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) is considered the "dividing line" between the severity of Winter weather events. The water in Long Island Sound keeps the temperatures a little warmer along the coast of CT. Even though I'm south of the parkway, I usually end up getting the same snowfall totals as those who live just north of the parkway. :-(

In moon trivia news, the moon is waxing toward the next Full Moon, which will be on Dec 12, 2019 (12/12) at 12:12 am my local time. Pretty cool, huh?!

Waterfall Stone Wall Dam In Woods - Photograph

This is 1 of 3 posts of photographs that I took on a second trip to one of the north trails off Rock House Rd in Easton, CT. This trail is part of the Centennial Watershed State Forest Aspetuck Trail. The official trail map must be carried as one's permit for access to the area.

With regard to why a permit is needed on these particular hiking trails: they are on land that the public water supply flows through. So they have rules for what you can and can't do there, and if you get caught in there without a permit (which is the trail map), you can be fined / arrested.

This north trail has a hidden gem on it only about 15 minutes walk north of the road: a stone wall dam / waterfall! The trail also parallels the water, which makes for a tranquil, enjoyable setting.
