I took this photograph of a Little Egret at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT this past week.

The sun was descending, causing the background to cast golden hues on the water.

I took this photograph of the full moon this morning. It was the fourth full moon in one season, which is an unusual event. Unfortunately I didn't get any good shots of it.

This is 1 of 2 posts of photographs I took at Pine Creek Marsh in Fairfield, CT yesterday.

I startled this Double-crested Cormorant as we both came into view of each other. I was barely able to raise my camera and snap this shot of him in time. I was thrilled that it came out in focus and showed multiple splash rings in the water. This was definitely one of those "once in a lifetime" shots for me.
