Love the bats flying in the sky. Nice work, Anne.
About your tick question, yes we have ticks but I don't know how bad they are here. I've never seen or had one. Maybe pet owners have a problem with them.

I love bats. Once we found one in the workplace and boy that one kept us busy! But we all managed to get it back outside (Wolfsburg).
Another time I found one UNDER the plate in the sink (Rhüden). We brought it outside, but no idea if it survived, poor fella... We also have a bat-detector and sometimes you even see them here,in the city (Braunschweig)!

This is thoroughly marvelous! Halloween is my absolute favourite day of the year. I'm really feeling dark, inky blues for this fall and All Hallows' Eve - perhaps Halloween's rare blue moon is contributing there. :)
