2020 Halloween Full Moon / Blue Moon / Hunter's Moon - Photograph

Happy Halloween! I took those photographs of this year's historic Halloween Full Moon / Blue Moon! The next Halloween Full Moon won't happen until 2039. And because the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September equinox is always called the Harvest Moon (October 1, 2020), the second Full Moon in October is called the Hunter’s Moon (Halloween, October 31, 2020).

Snow Falling in Coastal Connecticut - Photograph

I took that photograph through my window this morning. It took about 3 hours for the temperatures to drop across Connecticut, for the snow that had been falling in Litchfield County starting around 6am to reach me near the coast, around 9am. Prior to that point, it was falling as rain. Coastal Connecticut doesn't usually get snowfall until December, but it is possible to get it as early as late October, as can be seen today, October 30, 2020, one day before Halloween. Who thought we'd be singing, "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" this soon?

Tomorrow's historic Halloween will have a Full Moon on it. A Full Moon only occurs on Halloween every 18 to 19 years. Because it is also the second Full Moon in the same month, it is a Blue Moon. The next Halloween Full Moon won't happen until 2039! And because the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September equinox is always called the Harvest Moon (October 1, 2020), the second Full Moon in October is called the Hunter’s Moon (Halloween, October 31, 2020).

"T Stands For Teddy And Cocoa / Halloween Table Cloth" - Photograph

I am joining Bleubeard and Elizabeth for this week's T Stands For challenge found here.

This is my summation of the past several weeks:

Teddy will be serving double duty as my main image plus as my "T-Day ticket" for my T-Day posts.

I've been absent from T-Day for several weeks, for various reasons, with the main one being I didn't have enough time to be able to visit and leave comments for everyone. I've also been struggling with artist's block as we head into this year's historic Halloween, which will have a Full Moon on it.

A Full Moon only occurs on Halloween every 18 to 19 years. Because it is also the second Full Moon in the same month, it is a Blue Moon. The next Halloween Full Moon won't happen until 2039! I've been looking forward to this special day for months. I'm hoping the weather is clear, so that I can get photographs.

I did get some time to go out and take Fall foliage photos:

I took those photographs in Easton, CT this past week.

At this time of year, it's easy to find beautiful scenery to photograph. The hard part is finding a place to park on the side of the road, because most of the time, there is nowhere to pull over to park.

I discovered that gem a few years ago. I'm embarrassed to admit that I had driven past it many times, but never noticed it until recently.

Note: this waterfall is on the corner of Old Redding Road and Westport Road. The place to park is approximately 41.220583, -73.324055
