This year's historic Halloween Blue Moon is two weeks from today! The next one won't happen until 2039! And because the Full Moon that occurs closest to the September equinox is always called the Harvest Moon (October 1, 2020), the second Full Moon (Blue Moon) in October is called the Hunter’s Moon (Halloween, October 31, 2020).
Halloween Full Moons / Blue Moons (October 31, 2020, 2039, 2058, 2077, 2096)
I created this using GIMP 2.10.22.
The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

What an elegant looking skull in that fine top hat! He is all set to view the Blue moon! Hopefully the weather will be clear that night.
Oh wow, this is really clever and SO well done, too.
Interesting facts! Sadly, with all the light-pollution we have here, we won´t see anything, I guess.
In my Brother´s house (where we grew up, so actuallyour parent´s house) there should still be at least one chapeau-claque (but reckon it has rotten away).
I had better enjoy this one, because at 77 years old I doubt I will be around for the next one!
Your skeleton image is great! I also like your birds from earlier. Our neighborhood is full of skeletons, ghosts, and pumpkins.
