I took those photographs of the shirt transfer successful result I got when I used inkjet dark fabric transfer paper to iron my "
Skeletons Danse Macabre" shirt design onto a 100% cotton black shirt. (Note: I changed the background color of my
design to a dark blue, to make the skeletons in the foreground "pop" better.)
Because of the shirt's drape while on the hanger in the first photo, the image looks wavy, but it is actually flat, as can be seen in the second photo, which I took after completing the ironing transfer process. Also, the actual blue color is slightly darker than those photos show, and match the color used in my design.
About a month ago, I started seeing advertisements for the Halloween shirt with witches dancing on it, which had inspired me to make my own shirt design last year. My first attempt had resulted in
failure, so I said I would not try again.
But when I saw the witch shirt again this year, I decided to try once more. I bought dark fabric transfer paper, because I needed that for the black shirt I was using.
Although the dark fabric transfer paper was not as easy to work with as the standard fabric transfer paper was, the end result worked. This time, I also decided to leave a narrow white margin around the image.
