"Stained Glass Woman Window"

© All Rights Reserved
This week’s Three Muses challenge was “Windows.” This is my second creation, and is closer to the medieval stained glass window that I had envisioned making. Purely by accident, I created the woman with the appearance you see here, which looks like a style of Christmas ornament that I love but can’t remember the name of. (It’s a thin opaque milky white glass type material, usually made as angels and stars, with pseudo silver lead stained glass edging.) I had to reverse engineer the woman, to figure out how she was created, because I couldn’t duplicate what I had done the first time, to make her, and I want to be able to do this same affect again with other images. (Don’t ask how many hours that took.) Then I created the stained glass window framing around her. I’m not sure the frame looks exactly like what I wanted, but I’m thrilled about my discoveries! It was worth the time I spent on it.

Updated 14:00 EDT: The ornaments I was thinking of are capiz angels and stars. I think they are made using capezio shells.
