"Mother and Child" - Postcard

This week's Take a Word challenge was "Mother and Child."

I'm not completely happy with my result, and I ended up having to enforce my time limit on myself, saying, "paint brush down!"

I created this using GIMP 2.10.10.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

Those are very different takes on motherhood. I never thought about how a mom holding a child is so similar, but only the styles and times have changed. You are ready for mother's day now. Hugs-Erika

A beautiful card Anne, I like how you have shown that a mothers love is timeless and the gentle and loving way the children are held in the mothers arms.
