Half Moon Behind Tree Branches - Photograph

I took those photographs last night. I was hoping to get a photo of the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn (Christmas Star), but I think I needed to go to the shoreline, to be able to see it low on the horizon. I did photograph something, but it was too high in the sky to be them, so I think it was Altair. At least I got to see the moon.

It was cloudy so I didn't get to see the Great Conjunction. Fortunately, the Griffith Observatory in CA did a fabulous program and posted it on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uiABtFyGPY

I like the moon through the trees.

Lovely photos of the crescent moon. I looked for the Christmas Star last night but did not see it.
