I took those photographs at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT this past week.
I spotted a large bird flying, which looked like it had a white head, so I tried to get photos of it. Unfortunately the only two I got were blurry, and he was flying away, so I can't tell whether or not this was a Bald Eagle, which are making a come back in Connecticut.

This does look like a bald eagle. There are eagle nests along the lower Connecticut River and the CT River Museum in Essex has held winter eagle cruises. So it makes sense they would be at Sherwood Island.
Anne, I would say YES, MOST DEFINITELY! And following what your previous comment mentioned, the CT River is loaded with them and this is the time of the year, you'll begin to see them more often. Great job!!...:)jp
