"Typewriter Death" - Postcard

This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Typewriter."

This piece is unconventional and late.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.18.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

-----

Agnus Dei - Midsomer Murders TVST - Track 2 (Death of a Hollow Man)

Paint It, Black - Ciara

Paint It Black - The Rolling Stones

Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facin' up when your whole world is black.

I like the postcard and the imagery. Makes me think of Poe if he had lived during the age of typewriters. Would make a great business card for him, too. I like the Stones version of Paint it Black better

...I don't believe that young people know what a typewriter is!

I agree this is quite unusual and rather morbid. Cleverly done, though.

Instantly eye-catching and ever so marvellous! "The Dance of Death" never fails to captive me with its intense, beguiling, dark and beautiful prose.

Fascinating piece Anne. You used a very dark image on the top, but i works. That typewrite looks so art nouveau and is very cool. If you're getting this rain, stay dry.
