Waxing Crescent Moon 66% Lit - Photograph

I took this photograph of the waxing crescent moon during the end of Civil Twilight this evening. I liked the soft glow the moon had in the first photo. There was a light cloud cover which might have contributed to that. The moon was 66% lit and is heading for a Full Moon on 12/12 at 12:12am my local time!

Note: updated to include a link about Civil Twilight.

You know to take moon photos. Did I tell you that just the other day? Anyhow, it is true. Hugs-Erika

...I had to do a search for Civil Twilight and I didn't know that there were three twilights.

Beautiful. Reminds me to resume the book "Mission Moon 3-D" (post to come in a while) - awesome, have you seen/read it? It´s like you´re really there!

Great pictures of the Moon. I had planned to do some night images this year - but like many plans it never came to be. Maybe 2020 will be the time!
