This is 5 of 5 posts of photographs that I took at the Grace Richardson Conservation Area, in Fairfield, CT this past week. The trail map is here.
This is a very nice wooded hiking area with a stream running through it. Unfortunately, deviants have decided to use it as a hook up location. In mid-August, police arrested six people here after conducting surveillance after receiving complaints of "lewd and sexual activity" in this open space area. Two of the people say they are innocent.
When I noticed this bright yellow Callaway 4 golf ball on the ground in the woods, I didn't think anything of it, because the northeast part of this area is bounded on two sides by a golf course. One of the accused even claimed, "We used to take the children to go find golf balls years ago when they were little," which is what prompted me to take the photo. It wasn't until later, when I went through my photos, that I noticed the actual writing on this golf ball, which included the word "Whore" printed on it.
While this might look like a "Photo Shop" image, it's not: I don't post altered photographs. So either someone who uses the golf course uses personalized golf balls and hit this one into the woods, or someone hiking in the woods left it here. Perhaps it is a deviant calling card, marking a hook up meeting location.

Wow, too bad about what the woods have become. And that golf ball is something else. Kind of insulting but maybe a way to let people know something. Just wait, maybe the police will call you in with that photo as evidence. (Smile-I hope not!) Happy rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
I'm guessing it's a note from someone who resents the intrusion of these golf balls in the natural wooded areas ;)
