"Vaccinated" - Postcard

I created this using GIMP 2.10.24.

Originally the US Government told us that the covid-19 vaccines were not 100% protection against catching covid-19, therefore those who were fully vaccinated still needed to wear masks. And cases like the nine fully vaccinated members of the New York Yankees organization who caught covid-19 in May 2021 demonstrated that the efficacy is not 100%, just like our Government told us. (MSN)

The CDC term for fully vaccinated people contracting covid-19 is "breakthrough" infections. Yet "As of May 1, 2021, CDC transitioned from monitoring all reported vaccine breakthrough cases to focus on identifying and investigating only hospitalized or fatal cases due to any cause." (CDC) And then "on May 13, the CDC announced that fully vaccinated Americans no longer needed to wear masks in most indoor places." (The Atlantic). So there is no need for this mask design anymore, which I had made back in April.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

...in states with high vaccination rates new infections are down and in state with low rates they are high. Who would have thought!

I love these, and I love your commentary, too.

Let's hope that very soon everyone will merit one of these postcards.
