I know I can't be the only one who notices all of the clever, "cute" nicknames the US Government, US News Media, and US Entertainment industries have come up with over the decades:
"Baghdad Bob", "Jihadi John"
"Patrick Price", "Parker Promo", "Maya Markdown", etc. (State Farm insurance)
Harley Quinn (harlequin, DC Comics), Brook Lynn (Brooklyn, soap opera General Hospital)
Snowmageddon, Snowpocalypse, and Snowzilla
I’m surprised they haven’t found a way to be clever with shape words like Polygon, etc.
Because we've had clever uses of numbers. Remember how some people were getting married on dates like 7/7/2007, 8/8/2008, 9/9/2009, etc.? 12/12/2012 was the last date available for that sequence until 2101. But 4/3/21 was also popular. (ABC News) So maybe 8/13/21 will be too. (Fibonacci)
Numbers like 9/9 work well in the world of "cute" because the date format is the same in the US and the EU. I wonder if anything "momentous" will happen on 9/9/2021.
99 - Toto
99, I've been waiting so long
I never thought it would happen
Return of the Mack - Mark Morrison
Well, I tried to tell you so
'Cause I knew it from the start

...that armour must be hot for the knight!
I really like this one Anne. That's a great image.
Fun post. For the song, I was thinking of the one by ? and the Mysterians, but that was 96 Tears. It's late, and I'm not thinking straight.
Oh, and your postcard made me think of Knights in White Satin or was that Nights in White Satin? 😉
