These mergansers are very stunning. I have never seen this type, only the common ones. Thanks for sharing Anne. Hope you don't get too much ice or snow.

Such a beautiful water bird! The difference in coloration between the male and female is amazing.
Striking markings, especially the male. I googled them and we're supposed to have them here, but I've never seen one in the wild.
