This week's Our Midweek Muse theme was "Your Favorite Fictional Character."

I have a few favorite fictional characters, but I had this art piece already in progress, so I decided to use it. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, by Washington Irving, is one of my favorite stories! Sleepy Hollow, New York is near the Tappan Zee Bridge, and I've been fortunate to have been able to visit it a few times. (My photographs are here.) My art piece features the Headless Horseman in the woods.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving can be read online here for free, at Project Gutenberg.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.34

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

Love your postcard and the story. Maybe Teague and I should take a trip to Sleepy Hollow
