Purple Sunflowers (Daisy?) / No Mow May - Photograph

I took those photographs in my yard this past week.

A small patch of those purple sunflowers is all that I could leave unmowed in my yard, despite wanting to participate in "No Mow May" (see this US site, Bee City USA, and their post about No Mow May). The grass was tall enough to stall out the lawn mower, so I couldn't leave it unmowed.

Isn't it great to see the world turning green and blooming? I don't know if these are sunflowers or asters or whatever they are, but they are really pretty.
