I took those before and after photos of the 3-Tier Rolling Cart that I bought at IKEA and spray painted Ocean Mist, to make it the mint green color that I preferred.
A very nice person "treated" me to the cart, when I mentioned I wanted to get one. I was originally going to get the equivalent sized mint colored 3-Tier Rolling Cart that Michaels had, but current reviews sounded like it wasn't very sturdy. So I spent a little more money to get the more sturdy IKEA one. I wanted to get the white one, because I was going to paint it, but they only had the black in stock. But I ended up doing a partial mist coating on the inside of the tiers, which I preferred over painting them solid, so the black worked out okay with that method.
In summary, I love how the cart looks (even though I had issues with overspraying and the paint dripping). Soon I will be putting it to use.
Notes:
I used plastic wrap and scotch tape, to cover the wheels.
I spray painted the cart outside, with a plastic drop cloth underneath it.
I used three coats of spray paint, allowing sufficient drying time in between. (Only two "mist" coats on the inside of the tiers).
