I took those photographs at the reservoir (where the reservoir aerator is) in Easton, CT this past week.
In some places, the water is still fully frozen over, but here, the ice has started to melt.

They are indeed Ring-necked Ducks, except for the duck in the foreground in the first photograph which is a male Lesser Scaup. Congratulations, Anne!
