This is 1 of 2 posts of photographs that I took at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT this past week.
I don't know if these were Lesser or Greater Yellowlegs. They stop off in this area twice a year: once in the Spring, when they are migrating north, and once in the Fall, when they are migrating south. I was fortunate to spot them, because they blend in with the background.
The first photo is my entry for the following:

Hello Anne. Wonderful serie of photos. Great birds. Have a happy weekend!
Beautiful bird life.
I'm on the west coast of Canada. We have been getting a lot of rain in the past week. There was a break today but more rain on the way. I heard it is an El Nino year in late 2018 and into 2019 and it usually brings warmer and wetter winters.
Hello, pretty captures of the Yellowlegs. They are beautiful! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend. PS, thanks also for leaving a comment on my post.
Yes, Anne. I'm sure these are Greater Yellowlegs rather than Lesser Yellowlegs. Nice camera work.
Interesting birds :)
The Yellowlegs is a bird I've yet to see in the wild. Your pictures make me very jealous.
Anne, great captures of the your bi-yearly visitors. Thanks for sharing.
They are beautiful and I love the reflections you got! Happy weekend!

Yellowlegs are so similar in colors they ARE difficult to tell them apart. Terrific photos!
