Double-crested Cormorant - Photographs

© All Rights Reserved

© All Rights Reserved
This is 4 of 4 posts of photographs I took this past week at Perry's Mill Pond in Fairfield, CT.

I realized the first time I ever saw this type of bird was in July of 2011, but it was too far away for me to be able to know what it was.

The first photo is my entry for:

Camera Critters #267
I'd Rather Be Birding

  1. Beautiful!!!! I love cormorants. And, I do hope you'll consider adding your cormorant post link to the meme "The Bird D'Pot" today --which opens up at noon Texas time zone. You'll find the link on my right sidebar "I'd Rather B Birdin'" bumper sticker.

  7. Ah, yes, cormorants. It's still hard to believe, but when we were in Italy earlier this year, the only birds we saw were pigeons, gulls and, yes, cormorants!
