This past week, I took more photographs of the Great Egret that has been at Southport Beach in Fairfield CT. Unlike a Swan, this bird is very skittish. It turned out there were two of these, but when I came into view of the second one, both of them flew off. Previously, someone left me a comment describing this bird as exotic looking, and I agree. Beautiful Anne- the egrets in our nearby marsh are busy with little frogs- they dot the landscape so artistically- I am always inspired by them!

So elegant, Anne!
I love watching these too. And I agree, they are very exotic looking. That makes three of us. I love to watch them preen also, their feathers flying in the breezes as they clean themselves. Very majestic bird.
Love your capture of these beautiful egrets!

I have egrets and even a blue heron at my local park. Every time I see it I have to take a photo. Great shot!
