"Old Book Page Art 2" - Postcard

This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge theme was "Old Book Pages."

I'm only entering this one, but I made two pieces with the only difference being the book text page that I used for the "found poetry style statement." My inspiration piece was the "Altered Book Art Project" found on this "old book art examples" webpage.

I especially liked this line on my piece: "The storm lay there gasping for breath on the shadowy moon."

All of the "found poetry style" lines are:

"Black abysses beyond its edges."
"Broad steps sank into the wall."
"The storm lay there gasping for breath on the shadowy moon."
"Men raced, bent on finding who had fled."
"The duke supplied time."
"The rest recovered from the mad race."

I created this using GIMP 2.10.24.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

This old book page postcard is great too! It is hard to pick a favorite. I love the found poetry and want to try that sometime. This is so amazing!

It reminds me of the fancy cover pages in old books. The text sounds like found poetry.
