This week's Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Shoes / Footwear."

I went to the beat of my own drummer on this one.

I created this using GIMP 2.8.22.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)

Go Insane - Lindsay Buckingham

I lost my power in this world
So I go insane
like I always do
And I call your name
But you don't answer
Because I threw you away during my insanity
It was all in my head
And it took control
And now all hope is gone
You will never forgive me
You will never trust me again
And you will never return to me

When I thought about this week being a shoe/footwear challenge, I tried to imagine the different interpretations...of which there are many! But, never once did I think of horseshoe!!! Brilliant! We are forcing you out of your darker pieces (I have enjoyed looking through them here) and you have not lost your lighter touch! I enjoyed this one! Thanks for participating this week in my SHOE challenge!

This is so original and the only horseshoe i’ve encountered so far looking through all the entries - love it! And the fact you have a cherub blacksmith is just charming. Really wonderful composition for this unique card.
