This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "Potions" and is the second of the October Halloween themes at SPA.(Click on image to enlarge)
I created this using GIMP 2.8.14.
The vintage images are from the Old Design Shop. (See the side of my blog for links.)
I used various fonts for this.
The contents of the bottles were inspired by the Three Witches in Shakespeare's Macbeth, 1605:
All:
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Second Witch:
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

This is absolutely delightful in its creepiness...beautiful work.
Just right!!
Well done! The 3 witches' potions from that Scottish play is the perfect touch.
Brilliant - the colours you've used and the design fabulous
