Pine Tree Pine Cones - Photographs

I took these photographs in the Pine Creek Marsh open space walking area in Fairfield, CT this past week.

I almost missed these stunning creations of Nature. These perfectly shaped pine cones were high up on a tall Pine Tree. I had given up on getting any bird photos, and was heading out, when these caught my eye. I had to aim straight up to get these shots. Now I wish I had gone here during the Winter. These would've looked stunning covered in snow. Next year...
