I took those photographs close to the peak time of the total solar eclipse yesterday. It was only a "partial" eclipse (about 90%) where I am in Connecticut US. It got dimmer, but not dark. I could hear birds chirping normally, so they didn't seem to notice any changes in the amount of sunlight.

Very cool photographs
Two lovely photographs.
It was not visible where we live in the UK but we watched the TV news for regular updates.
All the best Jan
Thanks for sharing these two photographs.
In my part of the UK the eclipse wasn't visible, but we watched it on TV.
All the best Jan
You had a lot of high clouds during the eclipse. It's too bad you couldn't have gone north a bit. But these are great atmospheric photos.
