"As Time Goes By" - Postcard

© All Rights Reserved
This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was "As Time Goes By." I've used quotes said over time at the company where I work, but you would have to be an insider to understand the context and what they meant. Over the years, the term "layoff" was replaced with the euphemisms "reduction in force," "down sizing," and now "right sizing." As the years passed and the number of employees shrunk, "the end" was still "down the road." Until now. 45% of my coworkers were laid off. Based on the work load that remains, I foresee another layoff in the April/May/June timeframe, and one more in the August/September/October timeframe.

This is not only good art, but such a meaningful commentary on today's times. Great work!
