"Life is good"

This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was “Life is good”. Once again, I had a lot of ideas, but trying to implement them wasn’t easy. I settled on this design. It shows three cats gathered below two birds, who think, “Life is good... when you're sitting in the catbird seat.” Everything in the foreground is clipart from Arthur's Free Clipart and Free clip art and clipart images. The background is a picture of a green meadow, blurred slightly. (It’s the same one I used last week.)

The picture quality of this postcard is only so-so. I originally wasn’t going to post it, and skip this week’s challenge. But I decided I would because it's a learning experience for me, and this blog is my record for that. I'm having problems switching between image manipulation programs and image formats (gif, jpg, bmp). The result is color resolution loss and colored pixels appearing where they shouldn’t (but there is a pattern to them). So it shows me what I need to work on further.

Great postcard and love the interpretation of the theme! My cat is looking out the window at this very moment, but she prefers chasing mice :-)
