This week's
Three Muses challenge was "
Illustrate Song Lyrics."
My inspiration song lyrics were from I'm A Mess by Bebe Rexha. The
lyrics are here. The sound track video is here:
I'm A Mess - Bebe Rexha.
(Note: I have not watched the video of the song. I like hearing the song, but not seeing the video itself, so the content may be offensive, for which I apologize.)
I created this using GIMP 2.10.6.
The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)
For a long time, song lyrics have touched me. It could be only a few words, one sentence, several sentences, or the whole song that has a meaning to me when I hear it. I rarely watch the videos for songs that I like, because I have my own imagination of what the song means and the videos don't match it.

Note: the below paragraphs are not about anyone in my blog world.
You know what is worse than someone who doesn't listen to what you tell them? Someone who thinks that they know you better than you know yourself and tells you their incorrect assessment but insists that they are right and you are wrong. A close second, or perhaps a tie with that, is someone who tells you how you should react to something. Even better than that is when that same person doesn't do as they tell you to do in reacting to the exact same situation. Do as I say, not as I do.
I would love for all of the experts in my life, who know me better than I know myself, to tell me what they THINK this song means to me, which parts of the song touch me, and which parts don't. And then those same geniuses can tell me what my art piece means, since they know better than I do everything about me.
But people don't like to be around negative people, and they feel that way even more strongly during the holidays. Today is Thanksgiving Day in the United States, a time when families get together with their loved ones to share a meal. The irony of the significance of today's past and the present isn't lost on me.
