I made a second, larger music roses butterfly wood box, similar to the first box that I made, using a paper cigar box.

I painted over the paper using Martha Stewart Vintage Gold Metallic Paint (346 433 / M18121). I created top, front, back, side and bottom panels for it, and decoupaged them onto the box after the paint was dry. I used two layers of clear coat over that. I left the inside of the box unaltered. Unlike what happened with the first box, the paint didn't chip away at the fold point at the back of the box lid, but it might do so over time.

I'm going to give this to my other sister as a gift. So both sisters will have vintage looking boxes in which to store treasures.

I created this using GIMP 2.10.4.

The vintage images are from an Internet search. (See the side of my blog for links.)
