This week’s Sunday Postcard Art challenge was “Jane Austen." The character Catherine Morland in Northanger Abbey reminded me of myself. I always related to her, and her fascination with gothic mysteries.
This is also my entry for Digital Whisper theme #81 Pen and Paper.
I have a master list for all of my Digital Whisper 100 theme entries here.
The woman is from the Library of Congress, the abbey is a painting by Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840), and the hand is from Clipart ETC. The words are from the book. (See the right hand side of my blog for links.)
The font is JaneAusten.
As I thought about this piece longer, I decided it wasn't quite right, and modified it. I hate doing re-dos, and don't normally do this, but this is the second time in a row that I have.
