Snowy Egrets - Photograph

These are photographs that I took of Snowy Egrets at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT this past week.

Today I realized that every post on my blog that identified this type of bird as a Little Egret was mistaken. The partially yellow legs made me recheck my bird book. Without going back and reviewing every post I made, I am 99% certain that every photo I took that I identified as a Little Egret was in fact a Snowy Egret.

I have a hummingbird feeder just outside my window and can see the birds very close-up. Even so, I have a great deal of trouble making proper identification and have to reference my guides often.

Your photos are really lovely, snowy or not!
