Snowy Egret Reflections - Photograph

These are photographs that I took of Snowy Egrets at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT this past week.

Today I realized that every post on my blog that identified this type of bird as a Little Egret was mistaken. The partially yellow legs made me recheck my bird book. Without going back and reviewing every post I made, I am 99% certain that every photo I took that I identified as a Little Egret was in fact a Snowy Egret.

The second photo is my entry for the following:

thank you for adding your link this week at I'd Rather B Birdin'

Yep...the first few times after I began taking the 'sport' of birding/bird photography up with great interest, and the task of ID'ing them all, I made this observation about the snowy egret....in order for me to keep them straight in my head from other egrets..."Don't Eat Yellow Snow"....yellow feet...SNOWy egret. lol

Now you know. rofl

Excellent images today.
