"Cardinal" – ATC

This week's Fun With ATCs challenge #81 was "Something Red."

This week's Three Muses challenge was "Red."

My first ATC is my entry for both. I used several background layers which made this a little busy, but which also forced me out of a comfort zone. I've been trying to do that lately. I also experimented with different background colors, and have shown all of them here. The background colors are Red, Blue, Green, and Orange.

The images are from an Internet search.

The words are from Wikipedia.

Where I live, we are privileged to have many cardinals around. It's always such a joy to see their flash of red in the bleakness of winter. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for joining our challenge this week!

These are all beautiful. We don't have these birds here in the UK so it's lovely to see them in your art work.

The "comfort zone" thing definitely resonates. It's hard to push beyond it, but you seem to have done it 3 times! I think my favorite of all is card #2. That particular set of colors appeals to me, and the cherries seem to be a little more prominent, too.
