I took those photographs at the reservoir in Easton, CT this past week.

I don't know when common decency and respect for other people's property ceased to matter to people on this planet, but discarding trash within feet of our public drinking water supply is high on the list of examples of how despicable humankind has become. There were two empty glass bottles of Heineken beer, a broken one, and the original carton they came in, littered here. To whoever did this: you are a cancer on this planet.

  1. So many fabulous bird photos Anne. You had a banner day. And I wonder if those robins migrated in or are the ones who stay all year. I think with warming temperatures more of them are staying, but I don't think all of them, yet. Hope all is well and you are enjoying this beautiful week. Hugs-Erika

  2. I adore your photographs (except of course for the last).
Your robins are very different to ours, as are your ducks. Our swans are black and seeing white ones always strikes me as incredibly exotic.

  3. What a shame about the litter, but I remember litter being a problem since I was a child. There've always been careless and thoughtless and lazy people :(
