Henry, Braunschweig´s Duke, who founded this city, went on a pilgrimage, to Africa, also. He heard screaming, braved up, went into the bush to find a dragon fighting a lion and certainly the dragon was about winning. The duke took his sword and killed the dragon. The Lion came with his new friend and now stands proud in the city. Sorry, hope this dragon does not go at a lion! ;-) I have no idea if all this is true. But the Lion is here. Oh, well. In the city, I mean. Today Mielebaer visits the blog cause the Lion is a Chicken. (it makes sense)
Awesome dragon 🐉

Wow.
ReplyDeleteLove the dragon and the other medieval postcards Anne. That dragon is particularly cool looking
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that's a fight to the death.
ReplyDeleteI like the dragon, its pose, and the background you chose. Nice!
