This is 3 of 3 posts of photographs I took at the Reservoir in Easton, CT this past week. This was one of the first photos I took of a bird I had never seen before. I later got close up pictures that are in post 2. In this shot, he was about to take flight off of the power line on which he had been perched.(Updated 2013 Sep 01: This is a Green Heron, not an American Bittern.)
