Red-bellied Woodpecker - Photograph

© All Rights Reserved
I took this photograph through my window of what I think is a male female Red-bellied Woodpecker. The quality of the photo isn't the greatest.

This is my entry for:

I'd Rather Be Birding

Correction: This is a male, not a female. (Thanks Carletta! I misread my bird book.)

  4. Actually Anne, this is a male. A female red-bellied has a partial gray crown unlike the male which is all red.
    Nice capture!

  8. Very nice-- a shot through a window is 100 times better than none at all, and this is a pretty bird!
